Wedding venues that allow outside catering
Why this list is short
Outside catering is the exception, not the rule. Venues make a margin on food, so most either cater in-house or take a commission through an exclusive list. When a venue does allow an outside caterer, the permission almost always comes with strings — and those strings are what decide whether it actually works for your day.
Of the 128 venues here, 102 allow outside catering outright and 26 allow it with conditions we've recorded in plain words: a surcharge, a licensing or insurance requirement, no kitchen access, or a seasonal blackout on the dates you most want. One venue in our data charges $1,500 plus a mandatory venue manager, and blocks outside catering entirely on summer Saturdays. That's the sort of thing you find out on page four of a contract, and it's why we quote the source.

Venues that allow outside catering and outside alcohol
Bringing your own drink is permitted far less often than bringing your own caterer — most venues hold a liquor licence and reserve bar service for themselves. These 48 allow both. Where a venue is silent on alcohol we leave it out of this list rather than assume.

What to ask before you book
- Is there a fee for using my own caterer? Surcharges of $1,500–$2,500 are common and rarely advertised on the venue's main page.
- Must my caterer be licensed and insured? Most venues require it. Some also require your caterer to carry workers' compensation.
- Is the approved list mandatory or optional? "Approved caterer" can mean any caterer we vet, or only these ten. Those are completely different answers.
- Do they get kitchen access? Several venues allow outside catering but no use of the kitchen, which rules out anything cooked on site.
- Does the policy apply to my date? At least one venue we track permits outside catering except on peak-season Saturdays.
- Who provides the service staff? Some venues require your caterer to bring their own team for service and cleanup.

Every policy here was located in the venue's own served page — not a summary, not a directory listing, not a cached copy. If we can't find the wording on the operator's site, the venue isn't listed.
